For February, we wandered into “On A Whim”: a beautiful forested island where everything is hearts and blossoms. We kicked things off with a bike ride, flower baskets loaded, trekking across the island with the s/types showing off their balancing skills on top of a geodesic dome at the end.
From there we upgraded to a full horseback (plus one giant kitty) parade, trotting casually beneath the canopy and taking in the sights, until we reached a calm intermezzo: meditative painting along the shore. As the pictures clearly show, everyone displayed truly remarkable talent.
Next stop on our trip: a wine tasting bar, where the Divine relaxed with their choice of vintage and even the s/types were allowed a quick sip – before promptly being put to work stomping grapes in the barrels.
We finished the field trip with a DSF tradition: a relaxing swan-boat (at least for the Divine) ride around the island with a full pile-on-wherever-you-can for everyone else. Except for our “snoggy doggy”, who was dragged behind on a leash, occasionally able to come up for air.
Once we all (safely) made it back to the dock, we said goodbye to another unforgettable adventure.
