Yesterday marked the annual Niuka DSF Fox Hunt, a much-anticipated predator/prey event full of mayhem and merciless pursuit.
Before scattering to the wind, foxes and Huntrixes gathered for a quick group photo. But once the camera clicked, and after a bit of prodding, the foxes bolted across the region. Disorganized, often confused and flustered, with little information to go on and even less coordination.
In sharp contrast, the Huntrixes were cool, calculated, and deployed themselves with pinpoint accuracy. The hunt had barely begun when the eerie cry of Little Rain echoed across the region. Her escape cut short by the flawless markswomanship of Divine Sadist Lady Cythe. Captured foxes were soon seen dragged mercilessly behind their captors left and right, scraped raw through the underbrush, or left dangling helplessly in the air like proud trophies.
One by one, the rest fell. Some ran headfirst into the waiting arms/bow of the Divine while others tripped over themselves in panic, only to be brought down by a barrage of unrelenting arrows.
After a refreshing soak in the hot tub, the Huntrixes hauled their catches to the barn. There the bruised and banged-up foxes were strung up on posts. No fox escaped a full inspection or proper skinning (err… stripping) at the hands of their Huntrix. A fair amount of tenderizing also occurred, as tradition demands.
Congratulations to Miss Rosa, Divine Sadist Isabelle, and Divine Sadist Lady Cythe for another flawless and victorious hunt. Us foxes never stood a chance.
